Viola A. Hansen

Viola (Vi, Pat) Hansen, 91, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 29th, 2026.

She was born to Frank and Pearl (Delong) Stouff on August 14, 1934 in Eau Galle, Wisconsin. She grew up in the Menomonie area, graduating from Menomonie High School. After graduation, she moved to Eau Claire, where she met and married John “Jack” Hansen. Together they had 2 children: Debra, and Steve. They were married for 52 years until Jack’s death in 2007. After her retirement from the housekeeping department of Sacred Heart Hospital, her and Jack took many trips across the country, and through the casinos.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pearl Stouff; her husband, Jack; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Debra of Altoona, and Steven of Chippewa Falls; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; her sister, Virginia Koolmo of MN; along with many other beloved nieces & nephews.

Funeral services for Viola will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at Hulke Family Funeral Home in Eau Claire with Pastor Jerry Morris officiating. A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Viola will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery next to her husband, Jack.
