Thomas "Tom" M. Kewan

Tom Kewan, 74, of Eau Claire, passed from this earth, on Friday, March 27, 2026.

Thomas Michael Kewan was born on October 29, 1951, to Michael and Claire Kewan, in Eau Claire.

Tom had many interests. While in high school, he got into stage lighting and Ham Radio. When he was 19, he started Superior Auto Body in Eau Claire. Later, he started another business, Truckaline. He loved being a businessman! Tom met his future wife, Gene, “by accident.” Gene brought her car in for an estimate and Tom fixed the damage. A few months later, Tom and Gene bumped into each other at a local nightclub and the rest is history. They were married on August 24, 1979, in Eau Claire. They enjoyed 46+ wonderful years together. After selling his businesses, Tom tried his hand at transplanting evergreen trees for customers. He still had a desire to be in business! For the last 11 years, he built a business rust-coating vehicles called Rust-Coaters. For relaxation, Tom and Gene enjoyed going camping and traveling in their motorhome. Their two cats liked it too!

Tom was a great friend to many, a wonderful husband to Gene and will be greatly missed. But the beautiful memories of Tom will never be forgotten. Tom is survived by his wife, Gene, and their two cats, CoCo & Mittzi. Tom’s sister, Nancy Meier, (Leo); Nieces, Courtney Tillmann, (Sean); Chelsea Maidment, (Shawn), and children, Nolan, Myles, Adalyn & Asher. Nephew, Caleb Meier, (Paige), and children, Amelia, Eleigh & Eve. Nephew, Mark Koshoshek. Tom is further survived by many friends & relatives. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Mike & Claire; sister, Marjorie; Brothers-in-law, John Rogstad & Denny Olson; Nephews, Jason Koshoshek & Scott Olson; Mother & Father-In-Law, Lester & Lavina Olson; Rest In Peace, Tom. We Love You!
