Steven Johnson

Steven "Steve" K. Johnson, age 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on April 13, 2025. He was born to Emil and Elaine (Moen) Johnson on June 11, 1950. He attended schools in Eau Claire. Immediately following graduation, Steve was drafted into the Armed Forces, where he served during the Vietnam War. Steve received an Honorable Discharge from the Armed Forces, as a testimonial of honest and faithful service. He returned to Eau Claire where he spent the rest of his life. Steve was a life-long member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed.

Steve enjoyed spending time with his siblings and their families, going deer hunting in Winter, Wi with his brothers and friends, and walking and fishing the Brule River for Steelhead and Brown Trout.

Steve's family meant everything to him, he never missed a family gathering through the years. We will all miss him dearly, he left us with many fond memories.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Gaylen (Beverly) Johnson, Joan (Dave) Fisher, June Johnson, Judy (Tom) Neitman, John (Beth) Johnson, Gary (Toni) Johnson, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many cousins.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3715 London Road, Eau Claire, WI, with Pastor Paul Webber officiating. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery following the service.
