Mike Webb passed away suddenly on September 27, 2024. He was born on September 16, 1944 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Billie (Willa Mae) and Earl Webb, Sr.
His family eventually moved to St. Louis where Mike graduated from Hazelwood High School. While in high school Mike formed a “rock n roll” band. He loved music, was a drummer & continued to play through college & early marriage.
In 1966 he graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO, where he was an active alumni & supporter of the University.
He married Susan Unger in 1966. They were married for 32 years.
Mike began his professional career in banking in St. Louis and later became a partner in commercial real estate development which brought the family to Eau Claire, WI.
Shortly thereafter he started his own business, U-Fuel,Inc., which has become an international manufacturing company. Mike was very innovative & had a number of patents.
Mike enjoyed being a pilot, restoring old cars, and spending time at a family cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Mike took a keen interest in family genealogy & organized several family reunions in MO.
He was very involved with his college fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma, Warrensburg chapter, and also the Eau Claire Car Club.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Stephen. He is survived by son, Scott (Cindy) Webb, daughter, Amy Stenslie, and four grandchildren, David & Adam Webb and Sara & Jacob Stenslie; his brother, Earl (Patricia) Webb, Jr, and sister, Vicki (Dan) Svedarsky, nieces & nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Chippewa Valley Techincal College.
A visitation will occur on Saturday, November 2 from 3:30-5:00pm, with a short memorial service to follow at 5:00pm, at Hulke Family Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Rd., Eau Claire, WI 54701
