Payton Leisz

Our beloved Payton Thomas Leisz, age 18, of Eau Claire, was taken from us by a motorcycle accident on July 25, 2024.

Payton’s passions were body building, music and his machines. He spent hours every day lifting at Highland or Eau Claire Fitness and had the physique to prove it. Payton signaled his arrival from a block away with booming base and revving engines. He had just graduated from Memorial High School and was scheduled to leave for the Air Force in August.

Payton leaves behind his loving parents Joe and Heather (Smith) Leisz, his sister Madelyn and brother Cooper, who greatly admire him, grandparents Quentin and Linda Smith and Thomas and Katherine Leisz; aunties Carrie (Jake) King, Bev (Jeff) Karnitz; Julie (Brian) Berge, Janet Leisz, Michelle Anderson and uncles Jeff (Sarah) Smith, Donnie Leisz; cousins Dustin, Draza, Bobby, Jackson, Lindsay, Derek, Austin, Alli, Abi, Arik, Natalie, & Samuel; extended family and countless friends who love him.

Honor Payton’s life by practicing motorcycle safety and awareness while driving.

A funeral service will he held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Spirit Lutheran Church, 1310 Main Street, Eau Claire. Rev. Dr. JonPaul Dragseth will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Spirit Lutheran Church from 3:00-7:00 PM. There will be no visitation on Friday prior to the funeral service.
