Patricia Meyer Obituary

Patricia Louise Meyer of Elk Mound, WI, born June 2, 1944, died October 16, 2025, at the age of 81. Patricia was born to Alvin and Mabel (Wenger) Loewenhagen in Alma, Wisconsin.

Growing up, Patricia lived in Buffalo County where her father worked as a farm hand, and her mother was a homemaker. In her 20s, she worked for John and Lorna Lisowski on their family farm. It was there that she met her future husband, Charles. Charles liked to tell the story of their meeting by saying that she was bossy because she wanted to have glass pipes installed in the new pipeline. He thought that it was a crazy idea, but that was enough to interest him in asking her out. They married on June 27, 1970, and were married for 46 years before Charles passed. They spent their lives as farmers and working for the family business, Twin Elm Farm Supply.

Patricia was actively involved in Boy Scout Troop 71, Chippewa Valley Counsil, for many years. She started as a den leader in the early 1980s and continued well after her sons aged out of the program. She led in various roles such as a District Member, Unit Commissioner, and Merit Badge Counselor. She earned the Boy Scout Leaders Training award, was a District Award of Merit recipient (2004). She was proud to join the Order of the Arrow and to receive the award for Silver Beaver (2010) which is a distinction given to adult leaders who have provided distinguished service to youth at the local council level. She loved joining the scouts on camping trips, trips to Galena, IL, and on many adventures at Camp Phillips in Haugen, WI, which was one of her favorite places to be.

Patricia had many friends in the community. Most notably, her group of friends, the Party Heads and Birthday Girls, who would get together monthly to play games and have Murder Mysteries where they dressed as different characters to act out the stories.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents Alvin and Mabel Loewenhagen, her brother Robert and his wife Treva, brother Richard, brother-in-law Don Orlikowski (Dorothy), parents-in-law Wilbert and Mary Meyer, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Margaret Grady.

Patricia is survived by her children, Gerrick, Threasa, Derynn (Chad Smigla), Grant (Sarah), and Gabriel. Grandchildren Kendra Meyer, Raine Lindemann (Micah), Thea, Richard, and Nyx Lessard, and Katlyne and Elizabeth Meyer. Great Grandchildren Andre, Jax, George, and Niklaus Lindemann. Siblings, Dorothy Orlikowski, Edward Loewenhagen (Debbie), Mary Fry & Kay Rustad (Randy). Brother-in-law John Meyer (Sandy), brother-in-law Tom Meyer, and former sister-in-law Lynn Meyer.
