Oladapo Igandan, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2023.
Oladapo was born on June 7, 1974 to Olayiwola and Mary (Aromolaran) Igandan in Lagos, Nigeria.
He attended medical school at the University of Ibadan, College of Medicine in Oyo State, Nigeria. He completed his internship and residency at Harlem Hospital Center in New York, New York. He received the Senior Resident of the Year Award and the Medical Knowledge Award while he was at Harlem Hospital Center. In 2016, he moved to Eau Claire and started practicing medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System. He received a recognition of five years of service at Mayo Clinic in 2021. He was a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and was on the Medical Board of Trinidad & Tobago.
Oladapo enjoyed spending time with his family, watching soccer, traveling and listening to jazz and soul music.
He is survived by his wife, children, mother and siblings.
The funeral service for Oladapo will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Hulke Family Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the funeral home. Viewing will continue on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private interment will follow.
