Monica Caron passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2026 surrounded by family.

Monica Caron was born on February 18, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Raymond and Gertrude (Buczkowski) Kania. Monica loved the outdoors, especially fishing in Alaska and northern Wisconsin with her husband, Al. She also enjoyed relaxing at home while watching sports. She was an avid reader, “Scrabble” fanatic, and found great joy in writing poetry, using words to express creativity, thoughtfulness, and care.

Professionally, Monica dedicated her life to helping others as a school psychologist and a reading specialist at Northwest Reading Clinic in Eau Claire. Her compassion, patience, and commitment made a meaningful difference in the lives of many students and families.

She was truly a kid at heart, enjoying spending time with her grandchildren, especially.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Al Caron, and her son, Ryan Gregoire. Monica is survived by her daughter, Renee (Pablo) Miranda, brothers Russ (Jessica) Kania and Greg Kania, her cherished grandchildren, and many friends.

She will be remembered for her kindness, love of learning, and quiet strength. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at the Hulke Family Funeral Home at 4:00 PM. Visitation will take place prior, beginning at 3:00 PM.
