Michele M. Carlson

Michele Marie Carlson (Rogers), 72, of Altoona, WI, passed away on 9/12/2024 at home with her family after her lifelong struggle with Crohn’s Disease and her recent diagnosis of dementia. 

Michele was born in 1951 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Arthur Emil and Clara Cristine (Eisenmann) Rogers. She moved to South Range, WI as a young child and moved to the East End of Superior during her Junior High School years.  She graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1969.  She attended the University of Wisconsin - Superior for three years.

Michele married Scott Carlson on 11/12/1971 at Pilgrim Lutheran.  Michele worked as a preschool teacher at the YMCA and then transitioned to Junior High/Middle School as a Teacher’s Aide in the Physical Education Department.  She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.  

Michele is survived by her husband Scott Carlson; her children Chad Carlson (Karen) and Amber Farley (Kevin); and her three grandchildren Ben Farley, Tia Farley, and Oliver Carlson.

A prayer and remembrance service for Michele will take place at 1 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Hulke Family Funeral Home. Pastor Tom Westcott will officiate. Visitation will take place that day at the funeral home from 12 pm (noon) until the time of service. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
