Michael "Duke" A. Dusick

Michael "Duke" Dusick age 75 of Lake Hallie, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire.

Duke was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on November 2, 1950, to Clarence “Bud” Dusick and Deloris “Dee” Spencer (Washburn). He was a proud letterman graduate of Chi-Hi, member of The Chippewa Valley Marine Club, former member of the Indianhead Track Club and long-term resident of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. 

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Duke carried his dedication and discipline into the rest of his life. He was a passionate runner and avid sportsman, beginning nearly every day with a run. He spent countless hours in his woods, hunting, or fishing in his favorite spots. In recent years, he found great joy in spending long afternoons on the deck beside his best friend and beloved dog, Babe, taking in the quiet beauty of the property he built and later shared with his son and daughter-in-law.

Duke is survived by his dog, Babe; Son, Tanner Dusick, Daughter-in-Law Amy Dusick and his soon-to-be-born first granddaughter; his siblings Peggy Vold of Eau Claire, David Dusick of Fall Creek, Judy Lessard of Eau Claire, Deanna Anderson of Osseo, Jan Dusick of Eau Claire, Dennis Dusick of Eau Claire, and Donnie Johnson of Eau Claire; his nephews, nieces and cousins; and numerous friends who will remember him warmly. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Cynthia Rude, and brother Tim Dusick

A memorial service will take place at 10 am on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Jacob's Well Church, 989 122nd St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.  There will be no visitation prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Interment with military honors will take place at 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
