Mark DeRusha Obituary

Mark F. DeRusha, 70, passed away unexpectantly while enjoying his family cabin in Bayfield County on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Mark was born on June 20, 1954, to Roger and Cleone (Vitek) DeRusha in Eau Claire, WI. He attended Southside Elementary School in Chippewa Falls and graduated from McDonell High School in 1973.

He spent his career working at Wells Fargo Bank in Eau Claire. Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite hobbies - as well as anything that involved spending time at the cabin. He liked to ride his 4 wheeler, feed the hummingbirds, and relax watching old westerns on TV. He enjoyed trap shooting and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings. Mark was a devoted son and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his brother Matthew (Julie) of River Falls; sister-in-law Sharon of Eau Claire; nieces and nephews, Curtis (Nicole) DeRusha, Stacy (Justin) Kimmel, Jennifer (Ross) Kahn, Andrea (Anthony) Benedict, and Scott (Rachel) DeRusha; great nieces and nephews, Emelia, Evelyn, Ava, Logan, Eli, Reece, and Ari; and cousins and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; brother Michael; and beloved dog, Brandy.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the Brewing Projekt at 1807 N. Oxford Ave. Eau Claire, WI. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
