Linda J. Schuldt

Linda Jean Schuldt, originally from central Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Linda was born on September 7, 1948, in Rushville, Nebraska, to Jean (Soles) Lisle and Vernon “Red” Lisle. An only child, she grew up on the family hobby farm, where she cared for elderly neighbors and helped with farm chores. After graduating from high school, Linda worked at Long Prairie Printing and Paper Company alongside her mother. During this time, she lived with her beloved “bonus parents,” the Hattons, whom she honored by naming her only daughter, Kristina, after them. She later worked briefly at a local bank in St. Paul before beginning her main career with Northwestern Bell, which later became Qwest Corporation.

On November 23, 1974, Linda married Donald Franklin Schuldt of St. Paul, Minnesota, in Long Prairie. Together, they traveled extensively throughout North, Central, and South America before welcoming their daughter, Kristina.

Linda loved traveling, perennial gardening, animals, and celebrating holidays—especially Christmas. She was known for her generosity, both in spirit and in material ways, and for opening her home to anyone in need. Linda made friends easily and had a sharp sense of humor that endeared her to many.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristina; son-in-law, Tony; and granddaughter, Alivia. She is also fondly remembered by many friends and the caregivers who supported her as her health declined.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Jean Lisle; several aunts and uncles; and many beloved family pets, including Maddie, Phoebe, Chloe, Winnie, Simon, Mittens, Cubby, and Wrigley.

She was cremated and will be interred at Fort Snelling Cemetery at a future date, in accordance with her wishes. Friends and family may offer condolences online at www.hulkefamilyfh.com.
