Larry G. Bennett

Larry Gene Bennett went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 7, 1941, to Dove and Ruth Bennett, Larry lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and love for his family and community.

On December 11, 1960, Larry married the love of his life, Juanita Bennett. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion—to each other, to their children, and most importantly, to their faith. Larry was a proud father to two sons, Robin Bennett and Randall Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dove and Ruth, and by his beloved son, Robin.

Larry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Juanita; his son Randall Bennett and daughter-in-law Leslie; his brother Dale Bennett; grandchildren Jessica Ross, David Bennett (Dawn), Sarah Bennett, Brook Hanson (Logan), Mason Hub, Tanaja Bennett, Zachary Smrecek, and Conor Bennett; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Larry had a strong work ethic, spending 31 years with Coca-Cola from 1967 until his retirement in 1998. He continued to serve others through driving tour buses for Country Coaches for six years and later, school buses for Student Transit for another six years.

He and Juanita were active in their church communities and instrumental in helping to build two churches: Valley Brook and Jacob's Well. Their shared mission was always to serve the Lord with their whole hearts. In 2010, they became members of Peace Church, a place they felt truly called to and joyfully served.

Larry was a faithful servant, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man who quietly and consistently lived out his faith. His legacy is one of love, strength, and service, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service for Larry will take place at 11 am on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore Avenue, Eau Claire, WI 54701 with Pastor Mark Schulz officiating.  Visitation will take place that day at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.  Private family committal service will take place in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.  To attend the service virtually please use the link provided https://boxcast.tv/view/funeral--larry-bennett--april-24-2025-r4nrpdikd4yqvfeisf1t
