Keith A. Carlson

Keith A. Carlson of Seymour, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 7th, 2023. Keith was born on August 5, 1949 in Virginia, Minnesota, the son of Arley and Agnes (Wuollet) Carlson. He grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, doing what he loved the most fishing and playing baseball and hockey.

Keith married Sally (Hanson) Carlson on October 11, 1975, in Rochester, Minnesota. They moved to Eau Claire one month later, and embarked on a new adventure starting Pizza Del Re. Keith retired after 46 years at Del Re. He always wanted to own his own business, and he was a great business man and boss.

Keith’s greatest love was his family and a close 2nd was fishing. He had a dry (Finnish) sense of humor and the twinkle in his eye while telling his fishing stories was comical.

Keith is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sally; Daughter, Katie (JR) Thews; son, Scott Carlson; Grandsons Ryan and Connor Thews; Mother-in-Law, Julie Hanson and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arley and Aggie, sisters, Connie and Denise; and Father-in-Law John Hanson.

A visitation will take place at Hulke Family Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 11 AM-1 PM. A private family service and inurnment will take place at a later date.
