Kathryn Ann Lee passed away at Caretta Memory Care on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026.
Kay was born at Luther hospital in Eau Claire, WI on October 21, 1940, to parents Henry and Juanita Ausman. She grew up in Elk Mound, WI and graduated from Elk Mound High School. She received a teaching degree from Stout University in Menomonie and then a Masters degree in education from UW Eau Claire. She was teacher for over 30 years, most of them as a 1st grade teacher at Sam Davey elementary in Eau Claire.
She was married to Robert Lee on August 27, 1960. They were married for 35 years until his death. She enjoyed gardening, dogs, golfing, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was also very active in her church, Elk Mound alumni, and various other organizations.
Kay is survived by her son Kurt (Cheryl) Lee and grandsons Jake and Ben Lee. Preceding her in death were parents Henry and Juanita Ausman , brother Madison Ausman and husband Robert Lee. 

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 4-7:00 PM at the Hulke Family Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held the following day on Friday, June 26, at 1:00 PM at the Hope United Methodist church, with visitation being held an hour prior at the church beginning at noon. Kathryn will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery following the service. 

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to Hope United Methodist church in memory of Kay Lee.
