Kathleen "Katie" D. Reedy

Kathleen “Katie” D. Reedy, 79, died peacefully on April 28, 2021 at her home where she lived with her son, Christopher, in Eau Claire, WI.

She was born January 20th, 1942 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Waldo and Dorothy (Lovejoy) Haas. Katie graduated from Osseo High School, the class of 1959.  Following High School, Katie earned her certificate of Cosmetology from Robinson's Beauty School in Dinky Town, in Minneapolis, MN.  She met Dale J. Reedy in Dinky Town where he was attending Minnesota Bible College and they were married July 16, 1960.  Katie continued to work in cosmetology and eventually became an instructor at the school she graduated from, Robinson's Beauty School.  Katie worked at many beauty schools in MN, IA and AZ.  She was always active in her church and loved to sing in church choirs and worship teams.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Gerald Haas and her husband Dale.  She is survived by her daughter Debra K. Alexander and her husband Adam, of Tacoma, WA; sons Scott A. Reedy and his wife Caroline, of Jordan, MN; and Christopher D. Reedy and wife Stacy, of Eau Claire, WI; nine grandchildren, Bryon and Ashley Alexander, Paul and Anna Reedy, Abigail, Ethan, Owen, Mason and Levi Reedy; niece Denise Hukriede of Isle, MN; and nephew Richard Haas of St. Cloud, MN.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 at Hope Summit Christian Church, 1315 6th Ave SE, Rochester, MN followed by a brief reception.   Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service.
