Karen J. Kirscht

Karen Kirscht, age 69, of Eau Claire passed away on Thursday, May 5th, 2022, at her home with family by her side. 

She was born June 23, 1952, in Brainerd MN, the daughter of the late Wallace and the late Clara Sarkiaho.  She was a graduate of  WITC and worked many years as a hairstylist.  In 1991 she married the love of her life John Kirscht.  

Karen was an avid Packer fan, and enjoyed spending time at their camper visiting with friends, fishing and going for pontoon rides. She was a pet lover and often had her faithful companion Marly by her side.  

She is survived by her husband, John,  children, Christy Lussier and Joe (Sara) Kiggins,  sisters: Carolyn Crandall,  Diane (Brian) Nichols, Rita (Earl) Poferi and Janice Sarkiaho;  brother, Kurt Sarkiaho,  grandchildren, Zach, Zoey and Dustin Lussier, Summer and Emily Hill.  She is  also survived by longtime friends, Brandie Eich and Alex Anderson. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Clara Sarkiaho,  sisters, Darlene Sarkiaho and Marlys Tuura,  grandchildren, Marissa Kiggins and Dylan Lussier.
