Judith "Judie" K. Erickson

Judith “Judie” Erickson, age 82, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025.

Judie was born on July 3, 1942, to Norman Sr. and Ruth (Shepler) Kleist in Eau Claire. She attended school in Altoona and after graduation moved to California where she married the love of her life Richard “Dickie” Erickson on April 9, 1961. After Dickie's discharge from the Marines, they moved back to Wisconsin, settling south of Eau Claire. For years Judie was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and caretaker of the many critters they had on their hobby farm. After Dickie's sudden death in 1988, Judie went to work outside the home working first in housekeeping at Comfort Inn and then for several years as a gas station attendant at Copps Gas Station. Judie treasured time spent with her family. She was known for her life-long love of animals and for her sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

Judie is survived by her sons Richard (Brenda) of Eau Claire, Jeff (Julie Anderson) of Eleva and Mick (Ruth) of Cleghorn, brother Tim (Romelle) Kleist of Menomonie, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Judie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Barb Thompson, brothers Norm, Gary and Bruce, and grandson Michael John.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday,  March 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hulke Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on that day at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Zion Cemetery in Cleghorn.
