Judith "Judy" G. Devine, 80, passed away on June 18, 2024 at The Classic at Hillcrest Greens. Judy was born September 21, 1943, in Milwaukee, to Robert and Keitha (Thompson) Bjerke. She was a graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School.
Judy married Patrick Devine on August 22, 1964, in Eau Claire. She was married to Pat until his death in 1995. Judy worked as an elementary school secretary for over 20 years, first at Cleghorn Elementary and then at Little Red School in Eau Claire. In her retirement, Judy enjoyed volunteering at Flynn Elementary School, the State Theater and the Chippewa Valley Museum. She was a devoted grandma who loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Brian (Aimee) of Janesville, Matthew of Eau Claire, and Benjamin of Duluth, Minnesota; two daughters, Danielle (Brian) Trullinger and Eve (Jason) Hass, both of Eau Claire; two granddaughters, Eleanor and Greta Kernkamp; two grandsons, Thomas and David Devine; a brother, Robert (JoAnn) Bjerke of Lewiston, Idaho; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Pat.
A memorial service for Judy will take place at 11 am on Saturday July 6, 2024 at Hulke Family Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Quade officiating. Memorial visitation will take place that day at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of service. Private family inurnment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire at a later date.
