John A. Bogstad

John A. Bogstad, 89, of Eau Claire, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at River Pines in Altoona under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

John graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1953. He then went on to join the United States Marine Corps. Following his time in the Marines, he became a truck driver based out of Los Angeles, California for 34 years.

He loved watching horse races and going fishing.

John is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Bogstad; and siblings, Joe, Sylvester, Kenneth, Ruby, Byron, Grant and Robert Bogstad.

The family would like to thank the staff of both River Pines and St. Croix Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they provided John. 

A graveside service with military honors will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 15, 2025.
