Joanne Hegg

Joanne (Hodson) Hegg, formally of Superior passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Dimensions Memory Care in Eau Claire. She was born on April 29th, 1937 to Norman and Thelma Hodson of Cumberland, WI. She married her husband of 51 years on February 9th, 1957, raising their family together until his death in 2008.

She was truly the heart of the home and family. She was known for her cooking and baking skills and for always being there for those who needed her. She was the perfect role model in motherhood. She, in partnership with Jim, created magical memories for family surrounded holidays, vacations and time at the lake. She lovingly embraced the title of “Aunt” and later “Grandma/Great Grandma” and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her three children, Tammy (Dan) Jackson of Eau Claire, Robin (Rich) Jacobson of Howard Lake, MN, and Sheri (Brian) Tesch of Buffalo, MN her grandchildren Danielle (Sean) of Poskin, WI, Nick (Bethany) Jackson of Menomonie, WI, Nathan Tesch of Duluth, MN, and Courtney Tesch of Buffalo, MN. Great Grandchildren, Mason Klatt, Madisyn Klatt, Maxwell Klatt and Lydia Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Suzanne Flach and Patti Splatt, her husband Jim Hegg, her beloved nephew Alan DeDominces and several brother and sister in-laws.

A private family inrnment will be scheduled later in the Northern Wisconsin State Veteran Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin.

We would like to extend deep appreciation to the staff of Dimensions Memory Care along with Interim Hospice for the excellent care provided to her.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Dimensons Memory Care towards the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease.
