Joan K. Goodman

Joan was born on July 23, 1945 to Clarence and Harriet (Bravec) Day in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Joan had two sisters:  Diane and Donna (Kurt) Day and a brother Jerry Day.  Joan married Richard Leroy Goodman on August 11, 1962.  They had 4 children: Tammi (Chris) Goodman, Sheri (Jeff) Goodman, Ron (Paula) Goodman, and Christopher (My Nou) Goodman.  Joan and Richard were married for 61 years.  They both shared many years listening to 60’s and 70’s music, watching Western and Criminal movies, bowling, singing, and attending Lutheran Church  for many years. 

Joan enjoyed her friendships she made throughout the years.  She always remembered everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries.  She would mail out a birthday or anniversary card with money in it to everyone. 

Joan was Richard’s darling, love and wonderful wife.  Joan passed away on the morning of June 16, 2023 with her son Ron Goodman, his wife Paula, and My Nou Goodman by her side.

Funeral service for Joan will take place at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Hulke Family Funeral Home in Eau Claire with Pastor Tim Stein officiating.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 pm until the time of service.  Committal service will take place at 2 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery near Spooner.
