Jeannette Mae Lubick, 82, passed away on May 29, 2024 at Cambridge Senior Living, Eau
Claire, WI after a 15-year battle living with Parkinson’s Disease. Her endearing husband Ted
was honored to ensure Jeannette lived life to her fullest while providing Jeannette her loving
care for many years. Jeannette is now free of pain and struggle as she holds the hand of Jesus.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to Cambridge Senior Living, where Jeannette received family-like
care during her final months on earth.
Jeannette now dances and sings again with Florence and Clarence Lubick, her beloved Aunts
Mary Czech, Grace Sobun, Leona Bielski, and beloved cousins Carly & Phil Evers, Art Mallo,
and Jimmy Lind.
Jeannette was born on August 3, 1941 to Thomas Higgins and Antoinette (Stoskus) in Chicago,
IL. On May 27, 1961, she married the love of her life, Ted Lubick. Together they raised five
children, Ted Jr. (Barbara), Todd (Ilene), Evelyn Mulhall (Will), David (Tammy) and Jennifer
Boettcher (Brandon). Jeannette adored her two grandchildren, Kelsey and Kevin.
Jeannette saw it as her privilege to serve others and provide for her family. Jeannette grew up
in Chicago, IL and moved her family to a farm in Deerfield, WI in 1972 where she taught
Catechism at Saint Pius X. In 1978 the family moved to a farm in Fall Creek, WI where
Jeannette served at Saint John the Apostle and Saint Mary’s Church and Schools. In 1987,
while keeping the farmstead in Fall Creek, Jeannette, Ted, and Jennifer moved to Dousman, WI
where Jeannette served at Saint Bruno’s Parish and began her school-bus driving career. Ten
years later, the family returned back to the Fall Creek farmstead. In 2016, they sold their family
farm and moved to Osseo, WI. Throughout Jeannette’s life she served in many roles starting at
a local Chicago, IL ice cream parlor, followed by time at Melster Candy Company in Cambridge,
WI, then Randall’s Bakery and a small jewelry merchant in London Square Mall, Eau Claire, WI.
Jeannette cherished driving school-children for Dousman Transport (WI) and Eau Claire
Student Transit (WI) for a combined 22 years.
Jeannette attended an all-girls Catholic school and grew up to live life being a country gal, a
loving wife and mom that raised her five children in Wisconsin. In addition to loving her family,
Jeannette loved to bake, cook, collect and refine the perfect recipe. Jeannette cherished
combining recipes to make something new. Jeannette made sure her children grew up in the
kitchen too, always involved with preparing meals, baking bread and cookies, canning and
hosting family at holidays and special gatherings. In Jeannette’s free time, she tended to her
vegetable garden, raised farm animals, and cared for her dogs and cats.
Jeannette was a humble person, ensuring dinner guests were taken care of and so naturally
she was the last one at the table but would not have it any other way. Jeannette was dedicated
to her faith and will be remembered as a great listener, always more interested in the person
she was with. She was a gentle, optimistic, incredibly-loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Last, but not least, she will be remembered for her tenacious motto: “No, you got – Yes, you can
get”.

Thank God for all the blessings He’s given. No matter how good or bad we have it, there’s
always a reason. And, it’s always for the best.
