Jeanette I. Ives

Jeanette Ione Ives, 79, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023.  She was born December 1, 1943 in Eau Claire to George and Lois Whitney.  On May 26, 1962 she married Gary Ives.  Together they raised their family in the Eau Claire area.

Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending family reunions, and playing cards, BINGO, and games.  She was a huge Elvis fan and was proud of her collection of his memorabilia.  Jeanette loved listening to country music and attending country music festivals.  She was a caring CNA for many years, and showed much kindness.  Jeanette was loved by many.

Jeanette is survived by her four children: Kim (Don) Cline, Scott (Lisa) Ives, Kelly (Harry) Vandever, and Stephanie Ives; eight grandchildren: Ashlie (Trevor)Litke, Tyler (Morgan) Ives, Alex (Emma) Ives, Anthony (Britanie) Farren, Jennifer Farren, Sheyanne Eliason, Hannah Eliason, and Wesley Eliason; and great-grandchildren: Alysia Brantner, Brianna Heck, Zeke Heck, Porter Gierczak, Ashor Litke, Mili Sue Litke, Zoey Ives, Avery Farren, Anthony Farren Jr., and arriving in September, Wylder Horstman.  She is also survived by her sisters Emily Henning, Madie Whitney, and Bonnie Whitney, her in-laws Barbara Schumacher, Eldora Ives, Steve and Carol Ives, Kenny and Marilyn Ives, Dale Ives, and Mark Ives, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Gary; a granddaughter, Gabryelle Eliason; her parents, George and Lois Whitney; her sisters, Pauline Weber, Lila Stenseth, Wanda Von Aston, and Dee Potts, and her in-laws Carl and Grace Ives, Sue Ives, Robert Schumacher, and Mike Ives.

Funeral service for Jeanette will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Hulke Family Funeral Home in Eau Claire with Pastor Tim Stein officiating.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 pm (noon) until the time of service.  Committal service will take place immediately following the funeral at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington, South of Eau Claire, WI.
