Gloria Dawn Smith, 92 of Eau Claire (Village of Seymour), passed away on Thursday, September 21st, 2023. 

Gloria was born on April 10th, 1931 to Charles & Grace (Schiffelbine) Glasbrenner. She married Alfred Smith on September 1st, 1956. He passed away in 2016.

She is survived by 2 sons, Paul, Fall Creek, Wi & Mark (Sue) Eau Claire, WI. Granddaughter, Felicia (Chris) Anderson and many other Grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, and Brother Bob Glasbrenner.

She received a Certificate Award for perfect attendance (Neither Absent or Tardy) where she graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1949. After graduating she went to St Mary's School of Nursing in Wausau, WI where she received her RN degree. She worked many years in Eau Claire as an RN until she retired.

She loved to crochet, sew and write daily notes in her Journal which she started in 1983.

Funeral services will take place at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Ascension Lutheran Church (ELS), 1500 Peterson Avenue, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Pastor Fred Theiste will officiate. Visitation will take place on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Committal services will take place immediately following the funeral in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
