Gladys Vogler, 94, of Colfax, formerly of the Town of Brunswick, died Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Mayo Health Systems in Eau Claire.
Gladys was born September 30, 1929 to Hugo & Rose (Johnson) Vogler. Gladys grew up in the Town of Brunswick where she was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. She attended Candy Corner country school as she grew up, she helped on the family farm. She took over the family farm business and ran it successfully until her retirement.
Gladys had a great knowledge of gardening and spent her later years planting beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, trying new recipes and always willing to share them with others. She loved her many feline pets, also caring for the strays. Gladys spent the last years of her life at the Colfax Assisted Living Facility, where she received kind, attentive care.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Rose; brother-in-law Dick Kummet; and dear friend Fred Garnett, who helped her run the dairy farm.
Gladys is survived by sisters Lorraine Vogler and Joanne Kummet; cousins Cheryl and James Frisch, many other special cousins, friends, and good neighbors.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Heupel officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Town of Brunswick Cemetery.
