Evelyn (Fichtenbauer) Prissel, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 28 at Orchard Hills in Eau Claire surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was born December 24, 1936 in Nelson, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Bauer) Fichtenbauer. Evelyn married Edward Prissel on November 23, 1957 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima in rural Durand, WI. Ed and Evie enjoyed a wonderful life together and raised a loving family of six children. Over the years, they spent time going to sales, trying their luck at casinos, and nothing made them happier than spending time with one another, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was a homemaker and devoted mother and wife. She loved gardening and cooking. She was known for creating fabulous meals and making ‘anything’ taste delicious - especially all the wild-game feeds - and anything else the hunters and fishermen in her life may have hunted or caught! She was famous for her Monster Cookies!
Evelyn is survived by her six children, Becky (Rick) Hager, Bobbi (Randy) Fleming, Dan (Mischell) Prissel, Rhonda (Paul) Frank, Dale (Tonya) Prissel and Shelly (Kevin) Gietman; grandchildren, Nicole (Mert) Summers, Tom Falkner, Jason (Ashley) Fleming, Erin (T.J.) Fisher-Owen, Emily Peterson, Elizabeth (Reece Kaldor) Fleming, Joel and Paul Frank, Mitchell (Heather) Prissel, Marshall (Amber) Prissel, Lindsey (Jake) Morley and Leah Gietman; great-grandchildren, Christian and Caleb Hatleli, Finn Fleming, Tristan and Breckan Hondel, Emery Fisher, Eva Kaldor, Aaliyah and Harper Prissel, and Colter Prissel; sisters Gertrude (Glen) Lehman, Irene Halverson, and brother Raymond (Bev) Fichtenbauer; brother-in-law Steve Deinhammer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; father-and-mother-in-law Edward and Anna Prissel; son-in-law, Thomas Falkner; sister Irma (Bernard) Brantner; in-laws Ray and Rosi Prissel, Teresa Deinhammer, Clarence and Ione Prissel, Dick and Vi Prissel, Edmond Prissel; nephews Mike Prissel, Rich Prissel, Duane Lehman, Roger Brantner, and Steve Brantner.
