Dianne E. Anderson

Dianne E. Anderson, age 80, of Eau Claire passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.  

Affectionately known as “Dea”, Dianne was born on September 26, 1944 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire to Lester and Elfrieda (Nuenke) Anderson.  She graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1963.  She lived most of her life in Elk Mound where she was a lifelong member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and being on the altar guild. Dianne worked many years at Hobbs Plumbing Supply and later in life at North Central Crop Insurance. 

She enjoyed travelling, gardening, reading, watching movies, and gospel music.  Her and her mother Elfrieda attended many gospel concerts.  She enjoyed collecting many items over the years, most notably ceramic dolls, Indian pottery, spoons from states she had visited, exotic animal figurines and Christmas decor.  She also loved painting ceramics in her younger years and gifting her creations to her nieces.  

Dianne was a dog lover and had many throughout the years.  She cherished her dogs: Dusty, Taffy, Rascal, Daisy, Greta and Tinkerbell.

She will be missed by her family and friends.

Dianne is survived by her twin brother, Duane Anderson of Elk Mound, Nieces Linda (Randy) Wollmer, Connie (Mike) Zumbrunnen, Cyndi (Nathan) Strayer, Lisa (Tim) Anderson, Tammy (Martin) Hansberry, Brenda (Jason) Stahlbusch, Susan (Bobby) Fleuchaus, and Theresa (Mike) Lauer.  She is further survived by many great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Elfrieda Anderson, Sisters Marlene Mizer and Shirley Larson, Brother Robert Anderson, Sister-in-laws Helen Anderson and Nan Anderson, Brother-in-laws Edward Mizer, Eugene Abrams, and Joe Larson.  Nieces Theresa Abrams, Karen Abrams, Lori Wendt, Rosalie Zielsdorf and great niece Alicia Wollmer.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Hulke Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI  54701.  A private inurnment will take place at a later date in Barum Cemetery in Elk Mound.

In keeping with Dianne’s wishes, a private prayer service for immediate family will be held.
