David A. Johnson

David A. Johnson, 80, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully November 18, 2021.  Waiting for him with open arms was his beloved Con-Con who preceded him in death in 2016.  Dave and Connie were blessed to celebrate 50 years of marriage. David was born and raised in Eau Claire, WI. His parents Alfred and Ruby (Solberg) Johnson and only brother, Gary, preceded him in death.

Surviving Dave are his children Mark Meuret, Rick Eisold, Julie (Brian) Wingad, Ted (Karrie) Eisold, John (Mary), Wendy (Jeff), Scott (Tara), his cherished grandchildren Lucas (Liz), Matthew (Alicia), Jaylene (Aaron), Nathan (Rachel), Nicholas (Madison), Brett, Carmen, Jackson, Brice, Zach, Amber and Gage, and the greatest great-grandchildren Addy, Brook, Everett and Sabastian.  Dave is furthered survived by his best bud and brother-in-law Terry (Cheri) Tauger, sister-in-law Judy (Dave) Koshoshek as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Dave was a super sports enthusiast and was loving known as ‘Dogger’ in his younger days. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. Dave and Connie had many cherished friends through their card club of over 30 years, Lowes Creek and Hallie golf as well as his golf league buddies. Dave was a quiet, kind and loving man who loved his family dearly.  He had a love for reading, crossword puzzles and utilizing his remarkable smarts with trivia and game shows. Dave worked many years in the labor industry. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Hanna, Mayo Health System, for his dedication and compassion for our Dad for many years!

He will be greatly missed!  We are comforted to know he is reunited with Mom, the love of his life! A celebration of life will be held at a later date with a private graveside service where Dave and Connie will rest together eternally. Rest easy Dad, we will miss you!
