Dale E. Harschlip

Dale E. Harschlip of Rock Falls, age 75, passed away on May 31, 2024 at Azura Memory Care in Eau Claire, WI.

Dale was born on September 27, 1948 in Eau Claire, WI to LaVern and Bessie (Hysen) Harschlip.  He was raised on the family farm in Rock Falls and graduated from Durand High School in 1966.  While attending DHS Dale was an outstanding athlete, participating in basketball and football and received several recognitions for his athleticism. After high school Dale attended the University Wisconsin- Eau Claire and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance and completed a carpentry apprenticeship program in 1974. In 1969, Dale married Babbette Glaus of Durand, WI and together they had 3 daughters. They purchased a farm in Rock Falls, WI, raising Angus cattle, and started a business selling Butler Grain Bins. Later, they established the agricultural and commercial construction business, TriValley Contractors. One of Dale’s most gratifying accomplishments was building and being part of Heatherwood Assisted Living facility in Eau Claire, WI. Community service and conservation was important to Dale. He volunteered on the local fire department and served on the Rock Creek Town Board, the Dunn County Board of Supervisors, the Dunn County Solid Waste and Recycling Management Board, and various committees. Dale believed in the preservation and conservation of the land and the environment. He supported organizations such as Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.  Dale loved the Packers and enjoyed attending games at Lambeau Field.

Dale is survived by his daughters, Jill (Forrest) Schoen of Eleva, WI, Jennifer (Jeff) Harschlip White of Menomonie, WI and Erin (Seth) Renz of Eau Claire, WI, and his grandchildren, Anna (Jed) Lorenz, Andrew Schoen (special friend Morgan Schleusner), Olivia Renz and Cole Renz. His siblings Nancy (Jim) Style, Charles (Linda) Harschlip and Rod (Donna) Harschlip. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father, mother, sisters Bonnie Jevne and Ann Davis, brother in-laws Eldon Jevne and Hal Davis.

A memorial service for Dale will take place at 12 pm (noon) on Saturday June 15, 2024 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, N1101 810th St, Mondovi, WI 54755 with Pastor Bethany Walker officiating.  A memorial visitation will take place at the church that day from 10 am until the time of service.  Inurnment will take place in the Rock Falls, Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rock Creek Lutheran Church.
