Cynthia “Cyndi” Jean Green, 74, of Eau Claire, entered her heavenly home on April 1, 2026.
Cyndi was born on March 18, 1952, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Douglas and Ruth
(LaPage) O’Donahoe. She often shared fond stories of growing up in Altoona as the youngest of eight children, memories she cherished deeply. She graduated from St.
Bede’s Academy in 1970.
Cyndi met her best friend and the love of her life, Michael Green, at a dance hall, where Cyndi’s sister and Mike’s friend played in a band together. Mike asked Cyndi to dance
and their connection was immediate. They were united in marriage on September 7, 1974.
Cyndi absolutely adored her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Joe Green; Kendra (Lonnie) Westphal; Erin (Bobbi) Green; Alisha Green; and Ashley
Nielsen. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Makkena Johnson, Kadin Westphal, Lane Westphal, Laith Westphal, Ridley Westphal, Collin Green, Molly Green,
Abby Green, Emma Nielsen, Isaiah Nielsen, Elliana Nielsen, and Ilias Nielsen, and a great-grandmother to Jerryn and Brynlee Johnson.
She is also survived by her sisters, Maureen Stanton and Sue Erickson; her in-laws, Judy Fjelstad, Dan (Patti) Green, Deanna (Jerry) Rindahl, Shelli (Jim) Julson, and Chad
(Melissa) Green; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Cyndi will be remembered for her deep love of Jesus and family, her joy, wisdom, teaching, as well as her ministry and mentorship to so many. She had a vibrant
personality, a wonderful sense of humor, and a quick wit. She loved playing pranks, reading, playing the piano, and had a remarkable gift for making friends with anyone
she met.
Mike and Cyndi shared a remarkable journey of faith as leaders of Transforming Grace Ministry. With a calling to bring people together, they traveled the world ministering to
groups on breaking down the walls that divide and to establish unity and love within the body of Christ. This ministry brought them to places like Argentina, Ireland, Canada,
Hawaii, and Florida. Their ministry was not just work—it was a reflection of the love and joy they carried in their hearts.
One of Cyndi’s greatest desires was to see Jesus’s prayer answered from John 17: “I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may
be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me,
that they may be one as we are one – I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Cyndi was in the process of writing a book and recently participated in a televised interview on this very topic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, Lowell and Bernice Green; and her siblings, Patricia Mayer, Connie Burdick, Denny O’Donahoe, David O’Donahoe, Miggie Flynn, and other cherished family members.
