We would like to express sincere gratitude and love for her friends in Cedar Rapids especially Vickie Hughes and Nancy Hendricks , her First Lutheran "kindred sisters" . and all the staff at the faciclties where she lived these past 10 years or so, your love and compassion knows no bounds.
One memory that was mentioned more than once this past week was how much she loved playing Trivial Pursuit and how none of us could ever win or even score a pie when Chris was playing . She lived a full and generous life giving of her time and talents whether it was crocheting , knitting or baking. Her music was important whether just listening or playing bells, (four in hand no less). She played a solo handbell piece one Christmas eve service at St. John's (her home church) . We have found so many thank you cards and tributes for her volunteer work with children and the homeless and her gifts to humane societies in memory of her beloved cats Shadow and Emmy.
We will miss her every day until we are together again .
