Charles "Chuck" P. Rumphol was born as the 11th child of 14 siblings to Lester and Lucille (Meyers) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Christmas Eve, 1946.
After graduating from North High School, he was drafted to the Army where he served during the Vietnam war. Upon returning, he continued to serve for many years as an usher at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, refereed countless baseball and softball games in the area, and even drove the Zamboni for Hobbs Ice Center.
After 6 years working at Presto in Eau Claire, he went on to retire with the City of Eau Claire Streets department after 25 years.
A diehard fan of the green and gold, you would always find him sporting his Packers attire. He enjoyed spending time with his children, Melissa (Greg), Erick (Jennifer), Adam (Mary Beth) and Marcus (Tessa). His favorite role was being a grandpa to Caitlin, Zach, Abby, Carter, Aero, Justyce, Kenleigh, Amelia, and Eleanor.
Charles now joins his parents, Lester and Lucille, along with siblings, Lester, Robert, James, Bill, Larry, Evelyn, Lorraine, Janet, Mary, and Don who have passed before him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 27, at the Hulke Family Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00 PM. Chuck will be laid to rest the following day at Rest Haven Cemetery.
The Hulke Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
