Carol A. Finn

Carol Finn, 84, Oconto, passed away on August 1, 2025 at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire. Carol was born to Everilde and Mitchel Parenteau on August 7, 1940 in St Paul, MN and was raised in Livingston, MT with her four siblings. She married Jerome Finn, her “Knight in Shining Armour”, on March 24, 1962. They moved to Oconto, WI in 1966, where they raised their family and Carol spent many years working at Oconto Memorial Hospital. Carol was very talented and loved to knit and crochet, enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and was a wonderful cook. Carol also liked traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

Carol is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerome Finn; daughters, Kathy Otoya and Kelli (Terry) Strunk; nephew; Todd Nelson; grandchildren, Anna Otoya, Abbey (Josh) Sicard, Micah Strunk, Ethan (Alexis) Strunk, Mike (Allison) Nelson, Joni (Ryan) Arroyo, Michael Todd Nelson; Great grandchildren, Gianna, Gisele, Talianna, Tamarion, Jalaisha, Ja’Zion Otoya, Eden, Noelle, Uriah Strunk, Jonny, Isabelle Sicard, Leonardo, Larenzo, Micahel Nelson, Rylee and Ryden Arroyo; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Everilde and Mitchel; siblings, Claudette Mallon, Mitchel Parenteau, Celine Nelson and Virginia Parenteau; nephew, Robert Nelson. 

A memorial service for Carol will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Oconto Gospel Chapel, 251 Michigan Ave, Oconto, WI 54153. A visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
