Barry A. Hanson

Barry A. Hanson, age 70 of Eau Claire passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

He was a 1971 graduate from North High School in Eau Claire, served in the US Army from 1971 to 1974.   He was a welder working at Sign Art in Eau Claire for several years before moving to the Grand Maria’s, MN area, moving back to Eau Claire in 2019.

He lived his life the way he wanted while living in Minnesota, doing odd jobs, guiding, hunting and fishing.  Using his welding skills, he made sleds so ice fisherman could haul their shacks and materials with snow mobiles. 

Barry is survived by 3 siblings, Linda (Allen) Hoepner of Hayward, WI.  Claudia Martin of Hayward, WI.  Robert J. Hanson, Jr (Cathy) of Muscatine, IA.  Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Hanson, Sr and Mildred E. (Gunn) Hanson.
