Albert Edward Holand III

Albert Edward Holand III or Ed (1959-2024) died suddenly of a heart attack on July 28th, 2024.

Ed was born in Long Beach, California in 1959 to Albert Edward Holand II and Kathryn Marie Richards. 

Ed was always an entrepreneur first and foremost.  He started his first business at age 17 with best friend Kevin Barrick, a driveway sealing company.  He spent time living in Hawaii rebuilding houses as a contractor after a hurricane devastated the area.  Ed would go on to found Barn Again Furniture in October of 1994.  He would take run down barns and use the wood to create beautiful pieces of furniture.  Each piece would feature a picture and a small summary of the barn from which it was built.  Ed would then go on to found a similar furniture business Urban Renewal in 1996.  After a number of years Ed was looking for a new challenge.  He started at C&N Manufacturing in 2005, quickly growing the business and eventually acquiring it.  The business still thrives to this day.  Ed was also very successful in real estate.

Ed had an infectious personality and was loved by all who met him.  He loved nothing more than seeing other people succeed and did whatever he could to help them do so.  Ed was always learning, whether it be through books or seminars/trade shows.  Ed also enjoyed traveling the world.  He loved learning new cultures and having new experiences in places such as China, Ireland, Mexico, England and all over the United States.

Ed was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.  He would host game-day parties nearly every Sunday for his son and friends.  He also attended many games in person, including traveling all the way to London to watch the Packers in October of 2022.

Ed is survived by his son, EJ Holand and wife Justine Holand, daughter Katherine Introwitz-Holand.and fiancé Bartholomew Carlson, his grandchildren Arya and Eloise Holand and Armahni Introwitz, his sister Mary Kay Holand, his ex-wife Kathy Boyd, with whom he was still very close and his beloved cat, Biscuit.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials in Albert’s name for the family to designate a charity in the future.

Visitation will take place Wednesday evening August 7, 2024 at Hulke Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the funeral home at 1 pm. There will be no visitation prior to the service on Thursday. Committal services will take place after the funeral service in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. There will be a celebration of life at Milwaukee Burger & Co. following the committal services.
