Aileen M. Schlomann, age 95, of Eau Claire passed away Sunday October 8, 2023, at Heatherwood Assisted Living under the care of Mayo Home Health and Hospice.
Born and raised in Iowa, in a German immigrant community, she spent her adult life in Wisconsin. She married Paul Schlomann and together they raised three daughters. She was a life long devoted faithful Christian. Even that did not prevent her from when in memory care, stealing sugar packets from the lunchroom. She will be remembered by her daughters for her love of German food, especially bacon and chocolate. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren for playing hymns on her organ at ballpark volume. Her grandchildren have ‘The Sound Of Music’ memorized for life.
She was preceded in death by husband Paul. She is survived by her three daughters, Paula, Paulette and Pamela, 6 grandchildren, Micah, Martin, Melissa, Lindsay, Stephanie, Hannah, and 10 great grandchildren.
The family thanks Heatherwood Memory Care for their devoted care of our Mom with special thanks to Theresa and Maria for their unwavering personal care. The family is in deep appreciation to Mayo Home Healthcare and Hospice nurse Angie for her care, insights and personal attention to both patient and family.
Private family committal services will take place in November.
