Evelyn Goshaw age 91 passed away November 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her family

Evelyn was born on August 25, 1926 in Eau Claire, WI to Oscar and Olga Flaskrud. She came from a close family of nine children who celebrated every birthday, holiday and occasion together. They still have an annual Christmas party that over 100 people attend.

In October 18, 1947 she married Don Goshaw at Concordia Norwegian Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. They celebrated 66 years together until his passing in 2013. They loved traveling and after retirement spent the winters traveling in their Toyota motor home through-out the USA.

Evelyn joined the Eau Claire Horse Shoe League at age 49 where she became one of the top players in the city, county, state and world tournaments. She loved gardening where her children reaped the benefits and loved playing cards with her kids and grandkids teaching them the game of pinochle. As a pastime Don and her would love to get on the bus and head to the casinos for a little fun. Evelyn was a stay at home mother until 1968 were she took a job at Antler Motel till 1970 and then worked at UWEC Custodial Dept. until 1985 when she retired.

Evelyn is survived by children Sue Pflugradt, Dale Goshaw, (Christine), Bruce Goshaw, (friend Rose Beldon), ex daughter in law Rita Goshaw, grandchildren Troy Pflugradt (Amanda), John Pflugradt, (Jessica), Sandy (Chad)Oldham, Daniel (Peggy)Goshaw, David (Tennille)Goshaw, Mark (Jen) Helhaas, and 12 great grandchildren. Sisters Dorothy Wilson, Joyce Hazen, Grace Haas, brother Charles Flaskrud (Marge)

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, brother Wilfred Flaskrud, his wife Gladys, brother Raymond Flaskrud, his wife Gladys, sister Geanetta, her husband Howard Schmidt, sister Edna Forsvall, brother in laws Paul Haas, Charles Wilson, Dewayne Hazen and son in law James Pflugradt.

The family extends its gratitude St Joseph Hospice to her nurse John for taking great care off her.

Funeral service will take place at 11 am on Thursday November 30 at Hope Lutheran Church, Starr Ave. Eau Claire, WI 54703 with Pastor Rick Lund officiating.  Visitation will take place 4 pm to 7pm November 29 at Hulke Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3209 Rudolph Road Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701 and again at the church Thursday from 10 am until the time of service.  Burial will take place in the Rest Haven Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
