Mildred Weaver, 93, of New Brighton, MN, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Benedictine Health Center at Innsbruck in New Brighton.
 
Millie was born on March 14, 1918 at Pleasant Valley in Eau Claire County, WI to Conrad and Emily Holt. She married Donald Weaver in 1934. Millie and Don lived in Eau Claire at their home on Rudolph Road. 
 
Millie and Don were blessed with four children, sons David and Thomas and daughters Kathleen and Linda. They had seven grandchildren, Susan, Daniel, Stephen, Stacey, Sarah, Leslie and Timothy, and eleven great grandchildren. Millie considered her family her greatest treasure.  She was preceded in death by her husband Don, son David, daughter Linda, sister Leone, brothers Lester and Freeman and great grandson Tony Hanson. She is survived by son Tom (Deede), daughter Kathy (Peter), sister Shirley Radke, daughter-in-law Joye, her seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
 
Millie worked for the J C Penney Company, where she became manager of the Piece Goods Department. She greatly enjoyed her work, retiring after 21 years. 
 
Following retirement, Millie loved gardening, keeping up her home and caring for grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved shopping, cooking and baking, and gave of her time volunteering at Luther Hospital. Millie loved her church, working for many years on wedding catering and quilting.
 
In 2004, Millie moved to Scandia Shores senior residence in Shoreview, MN, where she enjoyed making new friends and participating in many activities. She has lived at Benedictine for the past four months.
 
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 28, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 East Lexington Blvd., Eau Claire, WI 54701. Pastor Kurt Jacobson will officiate. Burial will immediately follow the service in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church Friday morning.
