We are saddened with the passing of Nils. Being neighbors for a number of years on Skeels Avenue, we fondly remember Nils and the good times: cross-country skiing, going to the Bloomington Gold Corvette Show, holding the neighborhood Pig Roast, many Friday night fish fries, sailing in his boat on Lake Superior, and often just sharing a cup of coffee. Nils had a zest for life and a wry sense of humor unique to him. He will be remembered as a fine person and a good friend.

So sorry to hear of Nils' passing. I so enjoyed working with Nils when he was at Wisconsin Employers Group so many years ago. Can't forget the real first class people that I had the pleasure to work with and get to know. Rest in peace Nils.

Nils was the definition of a gentleman. He was a great friend to my dad, even to the end of my dad's life. My son Nevada (23) played cribbage, went to coffee, and golf with the gang. He will be taking my mother to the services as our representative, I am unable to get away from work. We are very sorry for your loss. May happy memories help you through this time.

Karen-Krista we are saddened by the the passing of Nils. The neighborhood of Skeels/Rudolph Road was a great one. Dinners golf and Friday nights at “Negreasies”. We named our RV “Emma” (as in Emma from Altoona) one of Nils favorite lines. Huftel and Lundskie are reunited. Celebrate his life with a smile he brought many to those he knew. Best wishes. Steve & Laur

Our Deepest Condolences from the Valley of Eau Claire Scottish Rite. Nils was a caring passionate man who was always in good spirits and very friendly to all those who he assisted in our Masonic and Scottish Rite activities. His devotion to the craft was very apparent when he received the Valley's Special Recognition Award several years ago. Nils will be truly missed not only by our Scottish Rite Family, but more especially by those who knew of his classy character and of his friendship.
