Roger H. Wathke, age 84 of Osseo, WI passed away peacefully at the Dove Healthcare Center of Osseo, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Roger was born November 11, 1934 to Erwin and Martha (Jacot) Wathke.

He graduated from Fall Creek High School.  He enlisted in the Army as a helicopter mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1963.

Roger married Gerri Wendt on August 8, 1964 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage.  Roger farmed, worked at Presto and worked maintenance at the State Building in Eau Claire. Roger was a member of the American Legion Post #550 in Bracket, Wisconsin.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on puzzles, especially ones of Farmall tractors.

Roger is survived by his wife Gerri; children Scott (Ann) and Mike (Ami); grandchildren Joshua (Kristen), Bryce and Drew; Great-Granddaughter Brooklyn.  His brothers Bob (Joyce) and David (Connie); sisters Judy (John) Tollefson and Bev (Bob) Peterson; sisters-in-law Marilyn Wathke and Linda Stechnesser, and many nieces and nephews. 

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Loren and Wally and sisters Lois and Bernice.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, Cleghorn.  Pastor Timothy Moe will officiate.  Visitation will take place from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the church.  Burial will take place in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery immediately following the service.  Military Rites will be rendered by American Legion Post #550.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to either the American Cancer Society or Zion Lutheran Church, E3720 County Road HH, Eleva, WI 54738.
