Josefina Baird, 96, of Eau Claire passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her home in Eau Claire.

She was born July 13, 1922 in Buenos Aires Argentina, the daughter of Enrique and Remedios Arance.  She attended the Music Conservatory for Piano.  She was also part owner of a Perfume Business that created and sold scents in Argentina.  Josefina was also a wonderful Artist painting in Oils and Watercolors.

Josefina met and married Harold W Baird in 1970 and shared 29 years of marriage.

Josefina Baird volunteered with many committees:  UWEC Amigos de la Cultura Hispanica, UWEC International Folk Fair, and member of University of Wisconsin Women’s Group.

Josefina is survived by her sister Elvira Candi of Jalisco Mexico, sister-in-law Maria (Corrin) Arance of Pasadena, CA, and Step Children; Barbara Ryan of CT, Stuart Baird, and James Baird, God-Daughters: Lidia Kitroser Jalisco Mexico  and Katherine Zirngibl of Eau Claire.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold Baird, and her brother, Enrique (Quito) Arance.

Memorial service will take place at 3 pm on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Hulke Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Memorial visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 2 pm until the time of service.

    Am so sorry to hear of Tias Josefinas passing , she was such a wonderful funny and smart person , I will always remember her smile and ability to speak about any subject. She always shared her story of meeting Harold the love of her life. She will be missed.
