Mary A. Barry, age 80, passed away on January 5, 2023 at the Marshfield Medical Center with her loved ones by her side.
Mary was born on April 1, 1942 in Arcadia, WI to Benjamin and Leona Walske. She graduated from Trempealeau High School. She married George Barry on April 12, 1969. She worked as a school bus driver for Student Transit in Eau Claire for over 25 years.
Mary had a strong faith and was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception church in Eau Claire.
Mary is survived by her daughter Barb (Tim); her step-grandchildren: Tim Jr, Aaron and Lina; step-grandson, Tavel; brother-in-law, Tom (Susan) Barry, his children and their mother, Joan; sister-in-law, Lorraine Walske and last, but not least, her granddog, Bitsy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Jim Walske and mother-in-law, Lenora Barry. She also will be missed by her neighbors and her many friends.
Mary spent the last decade being of service to the children in her community as a crossing guard for the Eau Claire school district.
Mary touched lives wherever she went, had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
A mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1712 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, WI at 11 a.m. with Father Frank Corradi and Deacon Gregory Power officiating. Visitation will be Monday morning (1/16/2023) at the church in the "Father Klink Hall" from 9:30 am until time of service. Celebration of Life reception to follow at Wild Ridge Golf & Event Center 3647 Kane Rd. Eau Claire WI 54703. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Arcadia, Wisconsin.
