Gary Wunderlich Obituary

Gary R. Wunderlich, age 68, of Cornell passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born on January 22, 1954 in Marinette, WI to George R. and Dorothea (Schuchart) Wunderlich.

Gary was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting & fishing. He spent over 20 years on Newton Lake and the past 5 years he’s enjoyed spending time at his and Jason’s 40 acres in Glen Flora. Building a cabin, setting up deer stands, UTVing, and teaching his grandsons the art of hunting was his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David and sister Maribeth.

Gary is survived by son Jason Wunderlich; son Matt (Cathy) Wunderlich; daughter Jennifer (Jeramy) Krista; grandsons Chase, Mason and Colton Wunderlich and Aidan Krista; brother John Wunderlich; and sister Peggy Kornetzke.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
