David "Louie" P. Lewis

David "Louie" Lewis of Eau Claire Wi passed away at Luther Mayo hospital on Jan 7th 2022.

David was born to Ralph and Evelyn (Pope) Lewis on August 21st 1960. After high school he moved to Iowa to become an EMT for Mercy Medical. He spent many years serving the Winterset community before coming back to Eau Claire to become a truck driver.

He enjoyed spending time with friends camping, playing poker, doing pull tabs and scratch offs.

David is survived by his siblings: Steve Lewis of Austin Tx, Susan Schmit of Plainview Mn, Randi (Larry) Nelson of Elk Mound Wi, Mary Lewis of Strum Wi, his sisters in law Marg Lewis of Eau Claire and Sherry Lewis of Eau Claire. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Evelyn, sister Cheryl and 5 of his brothers Ron, Paul, Micheal, Philip and Bill. His nieces and nephews Shawn, Sean, Tammy, Diane and Denise, brother in law Al Schmit and sister in law Sharon.

David was an especially caring person that made friends everywhere he went. He had stories and trivia questions for days for anyone who spoke with him.

David will be dearly missed by his family and friends he left behind.

Arrangements are being handled by Hulke Family Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on March 26th from 3-7pm at the Red Zone in Lake Hallie WI.
