Autumn Brissette Obituary

Autumn Rae Brissette, age 6 months, of Eau Claire, WI passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN.

Sweet Autumn Rae was born November 9th, 2021.

In her almost seven months on this earth, Autumn was a ray of light. A constant joy.

It’s almost like she knew her time would be limited and she was going to fill every moment with joy.

Autumn loved the sounds of the ocean and when mama sang “The Wheels on the Bus”. Autumn loved to watch her brother, Lincoln, play and when he would play peekaboo with her. She was the best snuggler. She fell asleep in mamas arms for every nap and bedtime. Autumn loved Dada kisses, even when his beard tickled her cheeks.

Autumn was patient, cuddly, sweet, gentle, joyous, and a light. She knew how to be perfectly happy and content to just be.  No screens, no busy-ness, just sitting in our arms. Autumn made the most of everyday and saved tears for reminding mama it was time for more cuddles. After sleeping all night, Autumn would wake up smiling and wiggling, ready to snuggle and play.

Autumn loved taking walks with her family and sitting in the sun while Lincoln played cars. Lincoln nicknamed her, Tum Tum and she loved it. Mama and Dada called her Tum Tum probably more times than Autumn. Her face lit up when she heard it.

Autumn was so strong. She would play in her jumper, happily bouncing for extended periods of time. Or use any opportunity to roll over and sit up. She was a lady on the move! She never looked like a sick child at home. Autumn was perfect in every way.

Autumn made sure that her family took every opportunity to cuddle and play with her. To get her family to slow down, stop worrying about a to do list, and focus on their time together.

Even when she was going back to surgery, she made sure to get one more snuggle with Dada and take one more cuddly nap. She even very audibly said,”mama” right before she was wheeled back, as if she knew it was her last chance to say it.

Autumn is loved and missed by all of her family. Those who got to meet her, and those who loved her from afar. Many people made the sacrifice of not meeting her to help keep her as safe as possible. Her family is thankful for everyone’s support of keeping Autumn safe and healthy during her time on Earth.  Autumn is survived by her parents Emily and Dillin Brissette, brother Lincoln Brissette, grandparents Angela and Timothy Rigg and Christopher and Leslie Brissette, aunts and uncles Olivia and Trevor Marsden, Allison and Tanner Gazdziak , Allyson Brissette and Charles Brown, aunts  Katie Brissette and Bethany Rigg, cousins Hunter and June Gazdziak, great grand parents, great aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family.

We know Autumn is free now. Free from the pain of any more procedures, surgeries, or medications. She is free from the restrictions her body had on this earth. We know she is flying with the angels and running into Jesus’ arms.

We will hold her close to our hearts until we can hold her in our arms again.

We love you baby girl. Rest In Peace sweet angel.
