Kimberly M. (Broecker) Quaranta

Our beloved Kim passed away on November 18, 2017 after a 15-month battle with cancer, which she faced with courage and grace.

Kim was preceded in death by her grandfather Herbert Paulson, grandmother Ruth Hamlin, and grandfather John C. Broecker. She is survived by her husband Michael, children Karl and Claire Buttel, parents John G. and Patricia Broecker, sister Michelle (Mike) Koker, grandmother Margaret Paulson, stepchildren Luke, Peter, Alaina, John, and Anna Quaranta, nephews Brett, Wyatt, and Conner Koker, and many other dear relatives and friends.

Kim was born on May 1, 1964 in Marblehead, MA and grew up in Waukegan and Libertyville, IL. She was a 1982 graduate of Libertyville High School and attended College of Lake County and Chippewa Valley Technical College. Kim moved to Eau Claire, WI in 1992, where she put down roots and lived until her passing. Kim was talented and creative and found great joy in spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and scrapbooking. Her warmth and generosity, smart sense of humor, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed. May she rest peacefully in God's arms until we are joyfully reunited with her in heaven.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service in celebration of her life at 11:30 am, on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3214 Golf Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701, with Pastor Jamie Brieske officiating. Memorial visitation will take place at the church on Saturday morning from 10 am until the time of service.
