Grace Mae Phillips, age 86 of Eau Claire, WI passed away on February 12, 2017 at Dove West in Eau Claire.

Grace was born March 16, 1930, in the back seat of a taxi cab in Eau Claire, WI to Leonard and Mary (Holbrook) Ingle.

She started working at Uniroyal on June 21, 1958 and retired from there January 28, 1989. 

Grace had a love for animals. Earlier in life, she was involved in the pony club and showed horses. After retiring, she enjoyed raising and showing Dachshunds for several years. She especially enjoyed cooking delicious and generous birthday meals for her family. She also loved her flowers and was always anxious to see her yellow daffodils bloom in the spring along with her peonies, iris and roses.

Grace married William M. Phillips on June 14, 1952. Bill lovingly referred to her as his June bride.

Grace is survived by her husband, Bill of 64 years, their four children: Mike (Ruth) Phillips of Tennessee, Chris (Patsy) Phillips of Eau Claire, Brian Phillips of Fall Creek, Nancy (Tony) Curtis of Eau   Claire; eight grandchildren: Jason (Kim) Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Jessica (Cole) Planert, Joshua Curtis, Kayla (Ben) Sauers, Tyler Curtis, Jeb (Amanda) Rollins and Jasmine Washburn; and 10 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will take place at 1 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home with Pastor James Whatley of Peace Lutheran Church officiating.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11 am until the time of services.  Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire immediately following the funeral service.

    Bill, Mike, Chris, Brian, Nancy and extended family...So sorry to hear of Gracie's passing... she had an infectious smile and a one of a kind laugh... she will be sadly missed by all that knew her..lots of great memories growing up..
