Joe, Julie, Rebecca and everyone in our family...I was very saddened when I learned the heart breaking news about Jonathan. Unfortunately I never got to know Jonathan but from my conversations with Robin and reading the condolences from those who knew him well he was a kind and gentle man with an amazing generous spirit. I watched the video and appreciated being able to see the many pictures from his all too short life. I know Jonathan will be terribly missed and there are no words that can ease your pain. Please know I am thinking about you and praying that God will wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you. With much love, your sister Susie.

I'd like to send my deepest condolences to the family of Jon Ray. Jon was one of my best friends growing up, and even today many of his idiosyncrasies have stuck with me. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Jon running around Tumblebrook and then venturing out into the greater Town of Menasha area as we got older. He was one of my few friends who I felt comfortable with having serious conversations with as well. I will miss Jon greatly, and my heart is with his family.

Dear Julie and Joe, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. It seems like yesterday the boys were running around the soccer field. When I think of Jon I think of a kind soft spoken young man, always kind to all. We feel special to have known him. Just watched the video on line, what a nice tribute to him. He was loved by many. Hugs and kisses to you guys. May God bless Jon!
Love , Lauri, Donn and Ted Harris

I enjoyed J’s inner circle. I knew him to be complex and have an all or nothing personality. He loved living in Eau Claire and because of him, I was introduced to the town and love it too. J. was fortunate to realize exactly what he wanted from life: to serve his community in the restaurant industry with passion and high quality. Rest In Peace my good friend.

Dear Joe and Julie, Becky, Arik and Quinn,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was stunned to hear Jon passed away suddenly, and since been broken-hearted to know the saddness you are suffering to lose your son, your bother, your uncle.
Joe and Julie, As a parent I know there must be no greater pain to bear. If there is anything you need please reach out to me. You are all in my husband’s and my constant prayers.
And my God bless you all for asking friends and family to donate to the hunger project fund. I know our donations will help to keep Jon’s memory alive through his passion for feeding others.

Jonathan Ray was such a wonderful young man, taken much too soon.

We loved his kindness, humor and his love for his family and friends. His time here was accomplished of which we are very proud.

There is only one Jonathan Ray and we will always remember, and miss him. We will all be together again one day.

This is very sad, I am fortunate to have grown up shooting baskets with Jon as kids. If we were not balling it up in driveways, it would be hours at club west. My condolences to Jon’s family.
